Government Degree College Kilam is one among the rural colleges of District Kulgam near tehsil headquarter Devsar. The college campus is spread around an area of 82 kanals (41480 sq m) completely fenced on all sides. We have highly qualified, young as well as experienced faculty ready to take initiatives and handhold their learners. The college has big and capacious class rooms fitted with latest smart boards, a rich library, browsing centre, conference Hall, fully equipped Gym centre, canteen, good no. of washrooms for boys and girls, clean and purified drinking water facility for staff and students.

 The college has green fields all around with a fresh water stream passing through under the shades of a big chinar tree adding to its scenic beauty. The students make full use of these fields for carrying out all their outdoor sports activities. A new two storey complex for gym and indoor games is near completion and other projects for construction of multistorey sports complex, additional class room block etc. are in pipe line. The college has good infrastructure for supporting all the science and humanities curricula and the students get fully involved in extra-curricular activities. We have a mission to provide quality education for transforming individuals into good humans with creativity, critical thinking and ethical values with discipline, regular and utmost punctuality. However, post 2020, the gross enrolment ratio of colleges and universities in JK has shown a decline and this college too is not an exception. We all need to work in tandem and put in more efforts so as to bring the enrolment to a desired level.
